Redknapp plots Villa downfall

QPR defender Chris Samba.

christopher-sambaQPR boss Harry Redknapp has his sights set on victory at relegation rivals Aston Villa on Today.

Redknapp's side have won their last two fixtures but remain at the foot of the Premier League table.

Villa are 17th but a win for QPR would see them close the gap on the Midlands outfit to just one point, and Redknapp admits the fixture is a huge tie for the two beleaguered sides.

"It's a big game - a massive one for both teams," he said.

"It's not make or break but it's massive to how the table will look on Sunday morning. We need a result.

"We were given no hope and the pressure isn't on us so much.

"All along, I've said we can survive. These two wins (Southampton and Sunderland) have given us confidence.

"We're in good form - just two defeats in the last nine games."

Redknapp has a near full-strength squad for Today’s trip to Villa park, with key duo Adel Taarabt and Julio Cesar returning to training this week.

The only concern for the QPR boss is full-back Armand Traore, who is a doubt with a calf injury.

Villa are without the suspended Fabian Delph and injured pair Darren Bent (foot) and Karim El Ahmadi (ankle), while Chris Herd, Marc Albrighton, Richard Dunne and Gary Gardner are long-term absentees.

QPR are 3.20 to secure the win, the draw is 3.40 and Villa can be backed at 2.40.
