Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists that Jack Wilshere is good enough to win 100 caps for England and has backed him to add goals to his game in the future.
Wenger has made the comments in the build-up to Sunday's North London derby at White Hart Lane which Spurs are 2.37 to win and Arsenal 3.10.
Wenger accepts that Gareth Bale, 5.00 to open the scoring in Today's match, is the current flavour of the month following his superb late strikes against the likes of Lyon and West Ham United, but believes Wilshere, 21.00 to open the scoring at Spurs, will prove to the better player in the long term.
The Gunners boss said of Wilshere: "You forget he is only 21, and already a natural leader and an established international player.
"But when you look at him, who would deny that he is going to get 100 England caps if he stays fit? He reads his football. He doesn't talk too much but he understands everything. He is something special.
"I don't want to make comparisons between him and any other player. My job is simply to get the best out of him, but the best is yet to come.
"He will never be a real goalscorer but it will come for him. He will be a 10-15 goals a season man eventually. It is part of his development to score more, get more advanced. He likes to go deep but the finishing will come.
"He is in the situation Fabregas was. Cesc said to me, 'I can't score goals'. But you could see it would come."
