Ashley Cole to wrap up his career with Roma

Plenty of talented players will spend a stint in Italy for a chance to earn silverware in Serie A. With this, the 2014-15 season is expected to bombard the football scene with explosive stunts and achievements. Here are the latest personnel movements in the Italian top-tier competition:


Chelsea full-back Ashley Cole is keen to cap his footballing career with a stint in AS Roma. While most people consider that Cole is already past his prime, i Giallorossi believe that he can be a huge asset to the squad. The transfer secured the defender with a contract that will net him €4.6 million in yearly wages. Aside from him, Manuel Iturbe would also be joining Roma on a reported transfer fee of €22 million.


Australian defensive midfielder Joshua Brillante has confirmed signing with Fiorentina. The 21-year old player was part of his country’s 30-man preliminary squad before being dropped from the final 23.


Left-back Dodo has left Roma for Inter Milan. The Brazilian made 19 league appearances last season and Inter were given the option to make the move permanent by 2016.


Defending champions and online bookie staple Juventus have finalized the signing of Kingsley Coman from Paris Saint-Germain on a five-year deal. The 18-year-old midfielder has joined The Old Lady having made only three league appearances for the French champions.


Lazio are beefing up their game and are planning to surpass their ninth-place finish last season. The side have signed three new players—Dusan Basta, Filip Djordjevic, and Marco Parolo—to boost their chances at landing in the top spots of the league.
