Luis Suarez believes Liverpool can finish in the top four this season – but must beat Tottenham on Today at Anfield if they are to achieve their goal.
Liverpool, who are 15.00 to finish in the Champions League qualification places, sit seventh in the table going into the weekend's fixtures, 10 points behind fourth-placed Chelsea with 10 games to go. Spurs, meanwhile, have moved up to third and have aspirations of finishing even higher, but Suarez believes the Reds can pull off the victory.
Brendan Rodgers' side are 8.00 to win 1-0, while a 2-2 draw can be backed at 15.00.
"We've been in good form recently and it's a good opportunity to reduce the gap between ourselves and Spurs," said Suarez, who is 4.50 to score first on Today.
"There is a slight chance we can make Champions League football - and if we want to do that, this is the sort of game we need to win."
Suarez pinpoints the January signings of Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho as helping him to become the Premier League's top scorer with 21 goals.
"Things have been going really well with Daniel, but not only him - there's also Philippe," the striker added on the club's official website.
"They have both brought something and maybe given us an extra cutting edge.
"They are players who can make a difference in a game, so it's been nice to link up with them.
"The lads who were here before their arrival were doing a fantastic job, but now we have more options as a team."
